a few dozen shows later and all i have to show for it is a bunch of crap i wrote in my laptop. the laptop that is in the hotel room while i am on line in the hotel lobby. its all the same crap anyway. a few weeks around the USA and now i am back in continental europe just hating life for a change. this is a secondary market tour as they like to refer to those little cities around the world. the shows are at smaller venues, some with questionable sound systems. some with questionable everything. the bus we are on is certainly questionable. days off in amsterfam are definetly questionable. days off any place at this point are questionable.

so far i have used numerous yamaha pm 3500/4000. a midas heritage 1000, XL250, and some other dual fader desk that wasnt all that exciting. i think there has been a soundcraft spirit in there as well and an allen and heath gl3000 or some other such thing. like i said nothing to get excited about. i did allmost get excitied about a mini V Dosc line array at an indoor festival thing in sweden. that and a pm 3500. but the foh postion was placed in line with one of the arrays making that night not much fun at all. when i asked the system tech why the foh postion was were it was, he responded by telling me he put it there to avoid metal bands engineers from making it excesively loud. great solution there Einstein. a few small meyer rigs. a nice martin rig in amsterdam. xta compressors are mad. a dozen featurs in a compressor i never thought i needed or wanted. the astoria in london was fun. cant remember what boxes but the desk was a soundcraft series 5 and the outboard was all BSS. not the opal stuff. the real deal. that place in brussels that goes by the initials AB had a nice rig. 18 KF850 cabs and a dozen SB1000's with a pm 4000 at foh and a ton of outboard. but they treated it like a festival and i didnt get to keep all my channels so what was the point. and to make matters worse a beta 52 went south on me durring the show. good thing there was a beta 91 in there as well. i still prefer my M88 in there. the audix clip on condensors sound nice on rack and floor. great little mounting system they have. thats all for now. there is more as usual but i just dont feel like thinking, reading or writing my own words. i will try and submerge myself in the new William Gibson book that i have now started twice and not gotten more than 30 pages into. not his fault though, it is my own. like everything else. accept some responsibility for your actions.
