Home for the moment.
I am going to start each post with a date.
The date that i use is the date that it was written. The date that Blogger uses is the date it was posted. For the most part the two have nothing to do with each other. Posts have sat in my computer for weeks or months at a time. Pages of stuff. I am going to make a real effort to change this. Yeah. Whatever. It is easy to be so motivated at home like I am now. And the truthg of the matter is I am not even that motivated. I am home for the moment. I got home a few days ago after spending almost 2 weeks out in the USA with a band called ________ . I am still at a loss as far as how to deal with the naming of bands and band members and stuff. SO lets just call this band Band 3. The name means nothing. They wee a lot of fun to be with. Very relaxed, laid back and easy to get along with. Touring can be so stressfull without factoring in a bunch of psychos into the mix. Band 3 was fun. Good shows at small to medium size venues. Band 3 have just put out their second record, which sounds nothing like the first, much to the dismay of some fans and critics. It is a great record in my opinion and they put on a great show. At first I was worried how they would pull it off live but they have their act together and know what they are doing. For the most part. The rest is up to me. Which is why they bring me along and pay me. I am now getting ready to spend a month in Europe/UK with Band 3. Originally I was leave on May 11th, but due to illness on the part of their regular FOH engineer I will be joining them on April 30th. No problem except I am mixing a show in Boston with Band 12 on April 29th. I live in NYC and am bussing it to Boston to catch up with Band 12 to mix this one show. It is a favor. After the show I will Amtrak it back to NYC and then fly out to the same nigh to meet Band 3 in the UK. Belfast, Ireland to be exact. If I had it my way I would cancle the show with Band 12. This whole bus to Boston crap is a royal pain in the ass. But I am committed to do it so I will simply shut up. I figure I wont sleep for about 2 days in addition to getting used to UK time. Work is good.
