Production trucks waiting to leave. Posted by Hello
Hotlanta!
It is hot and sticky here in Atlanta.
The pre-sell for this show is supposedly good and we are flying 15 Vdosc per side in 2 hangs.
I can't think straight at the moment so I will simply stop talking.

Today we are in Nashville. Today there is a show in Nashville. I was in Nashville for the past 2 days but have little to say about it. Now at least I can tell you about the venue. Which is just like any other amphitheatre except perhaps a little smaller. Tight stage makes for difficult load in/out, set changes. But as long as everyone is on the same page there should be no problems. The band has just flown in from LA after shooting a video. I am sure they are tired, but excited to play. They usually are.
I am going to finish my lunch and get ready to go and do some work.

AE 2500 Posted by Hello
I will try and make an effort to post some photos and random commentary here on a semi-regular basis. The fact that the artist's compound/backstage area is a big wifi spot will make things a lot easier. Something to do between load in and show time. In the meantime I hope you enjoy a picture of a GMS drum kit with an AE 2500 mic on the kick.
But that is all old news.
The real news is now July 27, 2004.
I am currently out with the Curiosa tour mixing Interpol.
The tour is 2 stage mini festival organzied and headlined by The Cure.
Interpol plays at 7:45 each night on the main stage, right before The Cure.
We are now in Nashville with a day off after playing 2 shows in Florida.
This tour has a really relaxed schedule 3 shows in a row being the most, with 2 being the norm. No complaints here, though I tend to spend more money doing nothing on days off as opposed to show days. A nice hotel with plenty of places to eat near by. The bus is probably resting at the shop which is based in Nashville. Driver Jim is at home with his wife. The band and Ally are in LA shooting a video. The rest of us are here in Nashville. Some of The Warped Tour people are here as well. Coincidence?

The photo of the PM5K was from the Primavera festival in Barcelona, Spain.
VDosc and Meyer 650 subs.
There was a Midas H3K in front and a Yamaha PM5K behind it.
I was on the PM5K when 20 minutes into the set FOH lost power.
The PM5K powered up again 30 seconds later along with the rest of FOH.
I heard later that this had happened the day before.
Nice.
